The venue locations are the Holiday Inn Toronto-Mississauga on the 28th and the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) on the 29th (see map). Both locations are in close proximity to the GTAA Toronto Pearson International Airport. A shuttle bus service from the hotel to the UTM campus will be provided on Saturday morning. Parking arrangements will be made for people traveling by car.

A complimentary tour of Mississauga under the guidance of Professor Gunter Gad (Department of Geography, University of Toronto) will depart the Holiday Inn Toronto-Mississauga at 4:15PM on Friday. A reception and dinner, with a special guest lecture by the Vice-President of the Regional Science Association International, Professor Roger Stough of George Mason University, will follow at 6:00PM. (Professor Stough's lecture will address 'Leadership and Institutions in Regional Economic Development.')

Academic sessions will take place in the Communication, Culture and Technology (CCT) building of the University of Toronto Mississauga on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.


The costs for attending the meetings are $35.00 for students that are CRSA members, $70.00 for CRSA members and $90.00 for non CRSA members. (Note: CRSA members MUST have paid their 2007 membership dues to receive this rate.)


A prize of $250.00 will be awarded for the best student presentation.

Hotel information: Reservations need to be made directly by the conference participants with the Holiday Inn Toronto-Mississauga at 905-855-2000. Indicate that you are a part of the Canadian Regional Association group to receive the special group rate of $102.00 per room, per night. Check-in and checkout times are at 3:00PM and 1:00PM. The deadline for benefitting from the discount is September 7, 2007. Should guests wish to extend their stay, the negotiated rate of $102.00 CAD will still apply based on availability.
